Hello,

My old goat compaq now has the quicktime icon in the task bar. I cannot find where it is located to remove. When I right click there is no properties shown. Nothing in Add/Remove
What am I missing?
Grazi,
Chris

Hi Chrisjea!
Are you sure that it installed correctly? It sounds as if it did not completely install to me. Try reinstalling it.

Thank you Jeannie,

I did not install it. One of my offspring did. I wanna uninstall.
Jeannie
O.K. Just a thought, did you look on the Start menu? IF you find it there should be an uninstall somewhere. Try going to Start and then Search and then All Files or Folders and type in the name of the quicktime program and you should be able to find where it is located in the search results.

Hi Chris,

If it was properly installed, it must show either in add-remove programs and in the start menu, as Jeannie said. From there, you must have an option to disable qttask, which is the tray icon and is not needed for QT to run.

Thanks Mr Ironbender.

Hope all is well with you!
