1st post so hope this is ok.
I have noticed that I have Symantic Update Manager processes running on my PC, but I never installed any Norton programs, and this PC is only a couple of months old and came with 3 months McAfee anyway!
Is there a reason why these programs are there? Also my McAfee subscription has run out. I am still getting full coverage and updates on the Anti-Virus and Firewall, but the privacy service and spamkiller have stopped working and everytime I turn on the computer they ask to verify the subscription. Is there anyway to remove just them 2 components or will I have to remove the whole suite and get a subscription, or AVG ect...
