Ok.
Time to look at the media player settings. I assume you have WMP 11?
Click on Tools, then Options. (If you can't see the File, View, Play, Tools, Help buttons at the top, click on the 'Layout Options box next to the search box at top left, then click 'Show Classic Menus). From the 'Performance' tab, in the video acceleration box click the advanced button. In there, on the right, make sure that 'Turn on DirectX Video Acceleration' is checked, along with 'Use Video smoothing'. Then ok out of them all and try it.
Like I said, one step at a time.....
Let us know.
I'm using Windows Media Player 10, since 11 requires Service Pack 2, and I honestly don't wanna touch Service Pack 2. I heard a lot of nasty things about it.
But Media 10 has everything up to the checking off Direct X and Smoothing video. I messed around a little with the settings, nothing went my way, haha.
But I don't think its a Media player problem since I also use showtime 3, and that also kicks me out when watching a movie.
The weirdest thing is, if I go up and watch a video on the internet, which uses media player, it works! But that just makes me more confussed...
