On my IBM Thinkpad laptop, I cannot access data on my small cruzer key that plugs into my USB ports. When I initially plug it in, the key lights up and then goes off. When I click on "my computer" it does not recognize the cruzer key as being an external storage device as it does on my other computers. When I plug the key into my other computers, the cruzer light key remains lit. Any suggestions as to what I might attempt to do to resolve this problem?

I suspect your "small cruzer" is a USB 2.0 device and your IBM Thinkpad has U 1.1 USB Ports. Right click on "My Computer", click Properties, click Device Manager, go down to your USB devices and right click on each one. If it is USB 2 it will indicate that, if it does not, it is a USB 1.1.

Hope this helps!
