Can anyone help with a problem I've been having with fileservers. So far it's only happened with Samba as I don't have an XP server but anyway...

If the server has a public share then windows will probably log in as guest to access it. My problem is that if I then want to access a private share then obviously I need to log out as guest and log in as a user, but here's the problem:

The only way I've been able to find to log out of the server is to log out of Windows altogether. Worse still if the server has a printer the computer is likely to log back in as guest before I have a chance to log in properly. How can I log out so I can log in again with a username and password.

If I'm not allowed to be logged into the same server twice once as guest and once as me then why isn't the guest session automaticaly logged out when I supply a username and password.
