Hi, I am currently running a desktop pc from a 3com router which in turn is linked up to a laptop using a wireless lan card which doesn't work very well all of the time. I have a spare desktop pc that I want to connect to the 3com router but I am considering wiring it up drect to the router using cables as I am pretty certain it will allow for a more stable and reliable connection. What I want to know is how to link this additonal computer up to my network when I have enabled wireless on my network to allow the laptop to use the internet wirelessly. I want to retain wireless usage on the laptop but have an additonal wired connection too. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

These days a configuration like you've just described should just work without much effort.

I presume the router has inbuilt wireless and four ports so you will be able to attach up to four computers via cables, even more if you add a switch.
