I receive the following error during Windows 98SE startup. After getting to the Windows Desktop, I can use the Internet in both browsers (Internet Explorer and Firefox).

The message reads:

The following error occurred while loading protocol number 0. Error 59: A network error has occurred. I have replaced the Network Interface Card with a New Linksys Version 5.1 card and still get the message. I have AVG anti virus (freebie), and OpenOffice.org suite installed. I have removed and reinstalled all network protocols and services and still have the problem. I have googled this problem and tried some things suggested and the problem remains. How can I get rid of this annoying message?
