Hello, I need your help. My laptop crashed so I had to perform a full recovery to wipe the computer. Prior to that I received help from somebody to setup my wireless card to link it up to my 3com router (on XP Home platform). However, now I need to re-install the wirless card to the laptop and do not have the expertise to call upon this time. How can I setup the wirless card. Is it simpy a case of copying the settings from the router to the laptop. I am using 64 bit WEP encryption. I have already tried to do this myself but failed. I do get a bubble coming up in the lower right hand saying 'view list of available networks',where I can see that the wirelss card is installed but just not active. The card s not being read at all. It was working fine before. Any help would be more than welcome. This is driving me nuts. Thanks

Hello Szabe,

Did you try going to the "Control Panel" then "Network Connections" and right click on the wireless card and make sure it's enabled?

A bit obvious I know but always worth a check.

Good luck. smile.gif

What is the make and model # of the card?
