mad.gif Help, I installed a 3com wirless router at the weekend without any trouble. Then I wanted to link my Sony VAIO (pcg-fx401) with the router using a wireless cardbus adpater through the slot at the side.

Followed the instruction manual that came with the Belkin adapter and then used Windows setting to get the laptop talking with the router but i got absolutely no where. Always get the message 'Wireless network disconnected'. Am i missing something? Is the card compatible with the equipment I have, is the card faulty? I desperately need help on this as me and my sister always clash over who uses the computer. Thanks in advance.

you have to check to see if the router is 802.11b or g . You have to do the same for the wireless card also. If the card is new more than likely it is 802.11g.
1. what os do you have?
2. what model router
3. what model pcmcia wifi card
