Hi All,

I have a Dell inspiron 1300 which has an internal wireless card which is used for wireless broadband. I have a belkin 54g wireless router as well as another Dell laptop upstairs. Both laptops have got windows XP & have the latest AVG anti virus updates installed. The problem is as follows:

It connects to the internet perfectly fine with no problems at all but it disconnects for the Internet if I dont have a self refreshing website loaded such as betfair. If i have google up or similar after 5 minutes or so it kicks me off the Interest & i need to disconnect the router & reconnect again to get a connection. Ive heard stuff about zero windows config etc etc but I really dont know where to go from here. Im pretty sure its a config issue, i just dont know how to do it!

Any ideas?

Wireless zero is a Windows service that checks for better LAN signals. You can check it by <Start/Run> typing services.msc in the run box.

Also, check on your internet options, connections tab if the "disconnect if no longer needed" under connection settings is not checked.
