Ok, I have a linksys router WRT54G and hasn't caused much problems before. For about the past 6 months I had, had the router under WEP encryption because that is what my psp supported. Recently my father's laptop could not hold an internet connection. So he reset the routers internet settings. Then the security went to WPA after it was reset. My father's internet continued to work but my psp cannot work with WPA. I then put it back to WEP but once again, my father's internet says basically that the wireless connection in our house is firewalled. Why would it be firewalled just because the security setting was set to WPA? Just wondering what is going on, thanks!

In order to access any internet connection, your Dad's computer must have the same settings as your ISP dictates, or have it set to auto. Some ISPs require static settings, some don't. Comcast, for example, does not, but some smaller, local providers do. By the way, encrypting with WEP is definitely the way to go for security.
