I have a Ricoh color laser printer comming and I want to make it wireless. It has a 10/100 lan port on the back and a usb for connectivity.
The only thing I can find is a usb wireless print server and I bought this one from d-link

This may seem like a somewhat dumb question, but is your printer set up for wireless reception? Having a 10/100 NIC does not make it wireless. You must have a wireless NIC in the printer inself for it to be totally wireless, and that is a special order, not any normal printer can adapt to that. Otherwise, you will have to have it connected to a computer that is wireless in order for it to work. Of course, that computer will have to be on 24/7 in order for any other w/less computer to access it. And you do not need a special router for this, any normal D-Link Router will work.

No, the printer is not wireless but does have a wired network connection on the back along with a usb port.
I do have a wireless router so that won't be a problem
Thanks for the reply

Unless you really need it, a wireless interface for (some) Ricoh printers are not cheap...

You could attach a wireless bridge adapter to the LAN port, or a wireless USB print server to the USB port. The bridge adapter is probably the better option as print servers usually break printer management functions, whereas a bridge should allow full access to the printer.
