hi all
what would i do without you,i cannot play my video's from my pc. media player and other players i can play stored vidio but not from disc it was never a problem before i get no sound either the screen is black what can i do please. thank you mike keybrd.gif

Are you stating that you can play videos stored on your pc, but you cant play them from dvd/cd?

If this is the case, what kind of disc (video cd, dvd, homemade, store bought, etc).

What kind of DVD player do you have?

sorry i made a hash of my last mail i have sinse sorted the disc side of things but the problem i have now is that i have got sky by broadband it allows you to download films from sky and play at a latter date all i get is a black screen and no showing sky say its my medea windows licence or somthing i just dont understand and mention the drm folder where can i find drm folder and will this help me. thanks mike thair.gif

My son has the same problem running WindowsME... black screen on the media Player, but normal on the TV (his videocard have a TV output).

This was never solved until he upgraded to Windows XP pro.

It depends where they install it. I am not sure. If they say it is a Digital RIghts Management problem, it might be something in the way it was installed. If this is the case, you should get a DRM error.

What format of video is it? It could be you are simply missing the correct CODEC (compression-decompression code) to play the video. You may or may not get a "missing codec" error in WinME.
