I use 4 computers on a home wireless network. I opened a port by using the port forwarding function in my router options. I have to enter a IP when doing this. I entered 192.168.1.2 since that is my IP of my computer currently (I got it from Run... Cmd...Ipconfig). After I open the port and reset my router, I can open the program I want.

However, this IP keeps changing. After one or two days when I do ipconfig on the same computer, it gives me a different IP such as 192.168.1.3 or 192.168.1.108 or some thing like that. After my Ip changes like this, my program that needs the port opened doesn't work anymore. Each time this happens, I have to enter my router settings and change the IP of the computer I want to port opened to and then reset my router. Is there anything I can do to skip doing this? Maybe a way to keep the local IP address the change each time?

Sounds like you set your systems to get random IP addresses. Go to TCP/IP properties and set a fixed IP to each computer on your network (change from "automatic" to "fixed" or something like this).
