Hi

I was deleting files from old programs I had downloaded but no longer use anymore and made the mistake of taking off most of the PChealth files because I did not realize that is part of Windows Me..I thought it was some registry cleaner I downloaded ... sad.gif wacko.gif blink.gif

Having said all that .. I am wondering if anyone knows how to fix that. I am trying to find the files on the net someplace. Not all the files got erased but most all of them did. I tried the fixwinmehel.reg
and it got put into my registry but it did not do anything.

Do a repair install (install to the same directory, on top of itself) of Windows. This will replace missing or damaged files.

Hi

Thanks for the help. Repair Install did not come up in my travels so I will add that to my list of things I learned about how to do today. (:

After spending a lot of time researching PChealth I decided to just keep it off.
I did not realize when I took it off my mistake that there are actual programs written to kill PChealth and System restore. lol.gif

What I did learn from all my searching about was how to extract a file. In my case though I had way to many files to extract and I had no idea which ones. But that is one way of putting things back.

The other thing I learned was that I could just use the Windows Me disc to reinstall. Which I currently don't have.

So it has been a fruitful day. I don't have to worry so much that I deleted files that were imperative to the function of my computer and I may well have done myself a favour.

Okay, now onto more enjoyable tasks
