Does anyone here know if there is a program that will allow a LAN to be created through an internet connection? I'm looking for something very similar to Dial-up Networking that has for a long time been part of Windows, just in the form of an easy to use program that connects through any internet connection without messing with the computer modem. Basically, i want to leave my desktop computer on all the time as most people do, and then when i want a file on it's 500GB hard drive i just open up my notebook computer from wherever i am at the time, find a WiFi source, and use the program to get to my files.
