The one very interesting feature about this program is it's ability to overwrite and completely obliterate the washed files. Bleaching a file with 3 overwrites respects the DOD 5220.22-M directive for sanitizing a file on a Non-Removable Rigid Disk or a Removable Rigid Disk, and bleaching a file with 7 overwrites respects the NSA approved seven-pass file erasure method. WindowWasher can overwrite files TEN (10) times, far beyond the capacity of any forensic program's ability to recover a file.
