I am having all kinds of problems with my computer. It's a Compaq using Windows ME. The first error I have is my Media Player quits working out of the blue and now I can't install anything to fix or scan because it keeps saying "Registry error".

HELP!

Tap the f8 key a few seconds after the computer begins to start up and get to a DOS prompt. At the DOS prompt type scanreg /restore. Allow the computer to restore to a day in time just before you started having problems.
