My laptop is very slow to connect with an access point. Once it does, it remains connected, and works fine. I am using Netgear WG511v2 adapter, & have followed all troubleshooting steps provided by Netgear. I notice that I have better luck connecting from start than restart. Also, checked hardware devices, & found 8 other devices using the same IRQ address, 09. Could this be an IRQ conflict? Asked Gateway tech, who referred me back to Netgear. Big help! I did see a suggestion in the Netgear troubleshooting that this connect delay could be due to a conflict when the adapter tries to replace the existing network connection. How do I proceed from here? I'm really tired of spending so much time waiting for connection, & troubleshooting this issue. ventsue
