i have recently switched a computers OS from 98 to ME and it dumped my sound card driver. my sound card is a Rockwell RipTide and alot of people have had that problem. what i want to try and find is an AMC97 codec for ME. if anyone can help that would be great.

Have you reformated the whole thing or just upgraded ?
If you reformated, you must reload all the motherboard, chipset and video drivers, as Windows generic ones may not work properly on all hardware.
