I have two computers here in a hotel room.

NuTex2
&
NuTex3

NuTex3 is the computer with the MN-510 Wireless USB adapter (yeah I know, old technology)
NuTex2 is the computer that wants the Wireless USB adapter

I basically want to do ICS between the two, using the wireless connection as the internet connection to share.

The 2 computers probably should have a crossover cable connecting them together, but instead they chose to use the MN-500 Wireless base station to create their mini-network.
(which is not broadcasting or receiving the internet. The internet signal is wireless from the Hotel)

Please give me some advice on how to tell them to get along with the one wireless reciever... Can't I just automatically assign subnet masks and DNS addresses of the two net connexxxions to make it work? Can I just bridge the two of them on NuTex3?

Thank you for your help in advance.

Kick a$z forums as well. thanks.gif

Doing it this way for the other computer to have internet access the one doing the ICS would need to be on 24/7 so the other had internet access.
I think you will have fun doing that.

Ok I will tell you what you would need to do first you would need to set up a ad-hoc connection and then you would set up ICS. You might have a few fun wink.gif hrs doing this.

Any how what you realy would be best off doing is getting a Wireless Access Point and connecting it to your adsl/cable modem.

Ok now I see well if both pc's have wireless cards/usb I don't see the issue they both have net access yes, now if your also wanting to share files between the 2 that’s could be a pain.
You can't use a access point as its not connected to the net so you can't have that really set up to do what you want.
I can't see a easy way round but buy 2 more wireless cards and set them up in ad-hoc mode or 2 nic's and a crossover cable.

Well it's late I’m not to creative right now maybe someone else will come in and help not seeing a easy way to share and have net access unless you just share files but then anybody with wireless access would see them also.
Maybe wait till someone else replies I don't see a easy way if you want more then just net access. If you’re just after net then no problem that should be easy just set up the wireless cards and have them scan for the network easy to say I know but read the manual and you should know what to do maybe

One last thing I guess you could have it set up like this
pc 1
2 wireless cards 1 with the net access from the hotel the other set up in ad-hoc mode and with ics

pc 2 1 wireless card in ad-hoc mode with the 2nd wireless card from the 1st pc

Well thats all I can think of for now.

Anyway good day/night.
