i just bought my first laptop and would like to transfer my MS outlook files and folders, emails and contacts over. i have a network cable and managed to transfer all other programs but can't work out how to do MS Outlook.

I have tried the whole import / export but it didn't work, unless i didn't do it right.

I have Win XP on both laptop and PC and MS Outlook 2002 on both

Thanks

Look at your file directory Windows/Profile/User/Application Data/...

I do not remenber the exactely sub-folder, but I know that your e-mail data is somewhere there.

You can copy all folder if you find it (Inbox, Trash, etc)

This is for your messages.

Now, to import your contacts, I suggest to export to TXT file separeted with semicolon.
