I just feel like a moan, i bought a second hand pc and i have had nothing but trouble with it as you will all know lol, i never seem to be off this board. now i have given up on pc,s and moved on to laptops and i'm off to a bad start already, bought a 1 year old laptop today and had a problem straight away, the company suggested giving the battery a full charge seeing as it was a brand new battery which i did, now...
1. got it to switch on but wouldn't even let me get as far as the desktop.
2. now says press any key to restart. i do that and comes up with the same message.
3. now it only lets me switch it on nothing else and all it did before was keep freezing and the hard drive is making a hell of a racket.

It's going back to the shop tomorrow!!

Also before i even got it, when i went to pay off the balance, i was told his partner had it and he was on holiday GRRRRRR for ten days double GRRRRR

You need to be very careful buying anything used. I would not do it unless I was able to test it extensively first.

Good luck with the return.

Well if they have any scruples they would give you a refund especially seeing it was faulty from when you paid for it.

Hope you are able to get your money back.

Yeah lol i got my money back and bought a brand new one instead yipee!!!
I want to have both a wireless connection for the laptop and a wired one for the pc as well and to be able to use internet both at the same time but the guy said i would have to buy the things i need from aol but its too expensive as ive just bought a new laptop i cant afford it just now. also i would have to upgrade to broadband gold to have home networking, the only thing i can think of is to extend the dsl modem wire from the pc so i can plug the laptop into that ( to awkward to simply unplug it and plug into laptop coz the wire goes into the back of the pc and i,d have to haul it all out every time i needed it) i know i wouldnt be able to connect to internet at the same time as pc by doing this, but i dont even know if extending the wire is possible and i dont know what i need to be able to do that.

It,s all becoming very expensive indeed

One other thing. when you buy a new laptop or pc do you get the operating system disc, i asked and was told no, and that, thats what the backup discs are for, when i started up laptop it asked me to insert 4 discs to be able to make this. Am i being conned? i was told previously that you get the original o/s disc when you buy a new pc
