Hello Techs,

I have three computers all running win2k sp4, no domain just a workgroup name mshome. I have an hp laserjet 930 printer connected to one pc and is shared. I install the printer on the other two pcs and it works jine but whenever I reboot the pc with the printer attached to it, I cannot print from the other two pcs, I have to reinstall the printer . I am not sure but there must be another way of doing this so I don't have to install the printer everytime the main pc reboots. Please help.

Thanks,

Hi a time to live, welcome to SAF

On the computer that the printer is connected, add usernames and passwords that matches what you are using to logon to the computers trying to connect to this computer. Adding local users to the computer you have the device shared on may solve this problem.

Post back with results,

Chris

Thanks Chris, I added the users to the pc with the printer and now the other pcs can print even after a reboot.

Thanks a million biggrin.gif
