The rescue disk is based on linux and I know that's the problem. It gives the sbp2 login timeout error. I tried using a knoppix boot cd and it saw the acomdata firewire hd. I tried playing with the bios with no results. Acronis tech support wants a sysinfo file when booted from the rescue disk. I followed their instructions using linux to create it on a floppy but nothing gets created on the floppy. I put this on the true image forum but got no response. I should just leave this alone as I've got norton ghost 10 working but I get obsessive about this. I feel there should be some way to get this to work. I would appreciate any ideas on this. Thanks. unsure.gif

Hi Larry,
I am moving your thread to the Linux forum as someone skilled on it will answer you.
