Hey. On my desktop the icons for programs have vanished. The links still work as shortcuts but the pictures are gone. Some are OK like Word and a Word document, My Network Places and the Recycle Bin, one flash game and 3 folders. But the rest... My Computer, My Documents, etc. etc. have no icons. I restarted with no effect and did a restore point, also with no effect.

I am perplexed.

[edit] ...Actually, don't worry about it. They magically appeared again for some strange reason.

Adding this value in the registry usually helps the icon situation.....

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer

Max Cached Icons (as a string value) 2048
