Hi ... I was in the msconfig ( startup ) area and I removed some check marks on some programs just to see if it would boot up quicker , Any ways I believe I cause a error from it , Though I ain't really sure if it was or wasn't but , Now when ever I boot up the computer I recieve this error , I know it has something to do with my printer , Could someone assist me in correcting this error ? And If you could explain how I can add the file for the error onto the post here too ? Thanks
Ironbender
Hi TerryFox,

It's possible that a system restore may solve this issue. If your system is not booting anymore, enter safe mode by tapping F8 on startup and perform a system restore to a previous point.

The next time this happens, see if you can find out exactly what the error says. This may be helpful in isolating the problem.

Hi ... Before I try a system restore , I would like to see if the members first can solve the error problem , This is the error I am getting ,

Brsvc01a.exe- Application Error

The instruction at “0x0012e824” referenced memory at “0x00000000” The memory could not be “ written”.

Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program

It has to do with my brother printer , Can someone suggest what can be done to correct this ? Thanks

Look here

and here

Give the make and model of the printer and we can see if we can find the latest driver on the internet.

One post I read talks about McAfee possibly being the problem.

Fingers crossed all over the world lol.gif

Do not fear a system restore, it's a very handy feature sometimes, and can be undone.

Hi Ironbender ... I have used system restore in the past and you are correct it can be a very handy feature , Though only thing with system restore is , It does just that restore back to previous point , So if you might of added other programs or what ever , afterward the restore point you would have to reload all those programs or what ever ,I would rather try to correct the problem first and if all else fails , then I would perform a system restore , Thanks though 4 asissting smiley- thumb up.gif

I do not know anything about experts exchange. I wish I could offer better news, but I have never used information exchange. I am still waiting on the make and model of the printer. I can't do much more homework without the printer information.

Just an update to my problem , I thought the problem was corrected but , it doesn't seem to be , I mean I notice in my add and remove program area there is no Brother printer or do I have any programs listed in the explorer , I am wondering now maybe what I have done was uninstall/removed , not sure but , Any ways all I did now was just reinstall the driver from the manufacturer site and everything is working , No error ...
TerryFox
Hi ... Another update , I now am receiving this error again , I even uninstall my brother driver , unplug the printer from my computer , So now I don't even have my printer hook up and I am receiving this error , Can anybody suggest a fix ? thanks

Hi Terry,

This is a printer spooler error. It's possible that you didn't have uninstalled the printer properly. Run msconfig to see if this is being loaded at startup, then disable it from there.

Also, search on add/remove programs if there is no printer remnants there.

Hi Ironbender ... I have view the msconfig area as you suggested and only thing I don't know that's listed in the start up is this REGSVR32 but , Everything else that's listed has nothing to do with my printer .... Now what I have done was uninstall the printer were I am not even using it , I have try what was suggested from the manufacturer site again

I have done 4 boot ups and again it seem to be gone , So now what I am going to do is wait it out for a few days and see as to whether this error return ....

Thanks
