I've tried turning off my fire walls on the computer and i still get the same message!

Any ideas

Hi KEITH4877,

Is it the downloading you're having a problem with, or the installation of the program you're downloading?

It could be that you need to be logged on as an Administrator to be able to install programs, if that's what you're trying to do.

Maybe the websites you're trying to download from have been added to your Restricted Sites zone? That will control how much a website can do on your machine, useful for warding off attacks from malicious websites.

Check in Tools >> Internet Options, and click the Security tab. Click on Custom Level... and scroll down to Downloads. See whether they are enabled or disabled.

OK out of that when you've done, back to the Internet Options screen. Click the Restricted sites icon (no entry sign) and then the Sites... button. See whether the sites you want to download from are listed, and if so, consider why they are there before removing them! There could be a valid reason!

OK out of that when done and drop out of the options screen.
