Fellow Members: I am running a Pentium 1 (166 Mz) system...(Hmmm...I know it's ancient, but I still have fun with it). I want to buy an add-on card to convert to MMX technology. Do anyone know exactly what card I need to buy? Thanks a lot.

HI Wakenaam,

MMX is a processor built in technology that allows it to run an additional set of instructions in paralel. Some Socket 7 (Pentium, K6, K6-2/3, Cyrix) old Motherboards may support a MMX processor if they can use 2.8 Vcore voltage...

I am not sure your old system will handle a MMX videocard... rolleyes.gif

Maybe some more skilled member can add something here ?

need more info on your sys, as I recall there was only 2 overdrive chips that ran a 3x clock multiplier.....

this will lead to whats next to upgrade.......... it will be very costly if done at all.
