Hi recklessfire13, welcome to SAF

First of all, was it working before or is this your first attempt with it ?

Have you tried to run Nero CD Speed on it ?

Are you trying to burn a new media or rewriting an old one ?

What the exact error text it returns when failing ?

Chris

I've heard that using cheap no-brand CDs will cause burn failures. If you use a recognised brand such as TDK (no, not plugging TDK specifically!) then you should be OK.

If you're using no-brand CDs, try again using branded ones and see what happens.

I had a Nero burning problem a few months ago, and when I researched it all I could find was "use more expensive CDs" but in my case I tried 2 or 3 different brands, and it kept failing. I had to conclude that in my case the CD-RW drive had had it sad.gif and had to shell out for a new one sad.gif

I suspect your burner has gone south. I go to Best Buy and get the cheapest bulk blanks I can find and rarely have a bad burn. I have to with all the CDs my kids go through! rolleyes.gif
recklessfire13
it says no seek complete
Ironbender
This may have a lot of causes, including a bad/died drive, a faulty PSU or a system issue (in this case, a system restore will do the job).

I will first suspect the NERO software, so you may try this free CD burning solution from http://www.cdburnerxp.se/

Post back if the problem persists.

i used the prog u recommended and i tried it at 4x and it would say it burned successfully but then i couldnt eject my cd unless i restarted my comp and when i checked if the files were actually burned in the cd there was nothing in there. i already tried several times and the same problem keeps happening.
Ironbender
So, unfortunately, as ranchhand said before, your burner has gone south. sad.gif

You might check out the NECs at Newegg; they have been running around $45 for a DVD burner. Not at bad price, and have had several and like them all.
