Hi goofy48220, welcome to SAF

Sounds like you are having some problems with your Caps Lock key rolleyes.gif

If you do not know what program is not freeing memory on shutdown, you can try this freeware:
QUOTE
FreeMem is a small toll, which shows the current physical and virtual (swapfile) usage, and can free up some more memory by releasing the memory that Windows isn't using anymore. This program works best with Win95/98/ME, but it may free some memory under NT4/2000 too. FreeMem defragments the memory, which means that it re-arranges the memory content.

You can also find more free memory apps on http://www.snapfiles.com/downloadfind.php?...h&lc=1&action=s

If you suspect any physical memory failure, you may run memtest from http://www.memtest86.com (let it perform tests all night long if possible).

Any error reported will point to a bad memory stick.
