Hi NEED HELP when i startup my computer after a bit it says "remove diskette or other media. press any key to restart." I have nothing in my CD drives and i dont have a floppy drive.

Hi cobra2744, welcome to SAF

Can you boot in safe mode ?
From there, you may try a system restore to a point just before the problem started.

Also, have you installed any new programs (Including games) or hardware just before it happened ?

Have you performed or noticed some unusual thing just before ?

I TINK I NO WOT THE PROBLEM IS, go into the bios screen at start of the computer, look for Boot from :-

then just choose C:\ or hardisk.
it looks like the computer is lookin for operating system on a floppy drive.

Not, it isn't... if it was the case, he'll be prompted with a non-system disk error and to replace and strike any key...

I think he installed something or he has a process running that is searching and asking to remove a floppy or CD. It may also be a malware issue.

is your hard disk dsetected in the bios or post, i have seen this on my machine when my hard drive got faulty. month later it died
