Hi hsawhney!

Do you have a boot floppy disk? If you do, then boot up from that and run the install wizard from there with the CD in the CD-ROM drive.

If you don't, then take a look here where you can download a boot disk.

Not all 98SE CD's are bootable. Follow the above advice and obtain a 98 floppy bootdisk.

Just install XP you do not need to install 98 first. If you are using a upgrade version of XP it wll do a full install but will ask you to put your 98 disk in to prove that you have it.

I have the same problem as the first guy sorta, I have an old computer and my brother reformatted it when he gave it to me, but now when i put in my boot disk and type in the command "format C: drive" it says that the drive in unreadable or something to that effect. Could someone please help me with my problem? It would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. I also tried the command "Find Drive C:" and it says that a parameter is missing. Could this be part of the problem or part of the solution?
