I have reformated my computer, and lost my keyboard configuration to use it under MS-DOS, ( i have made the change in windows keyboard) could someone help me to make that change pls, i just remember it has to be done in the system configuration utility i have try several combinations but my keyboard still not match under MS-DOS it is urgent as i am using a C ++ compiler wich runs in MS-DOS so my keyboard keys not mach under that ambient.

Hi Nipp, welcome to SAF

DOS command for this is country=001,437(default) for the American layout. Depending on what keyboard you are using, this may change.

The control file for it is country.sys

For Brazil, as an example:
in config.sys
country=055,850, c:\dos\country.sys

in autoxec.bat
c:\dos\keyb br,850, c:\dos\keyboard.sys

Hola Iron, thks by your quick answer, i really apreciate your help, i have found the information to solve my problem already, it is due to Windows ME command prompt does not support the keyb command, i will leave the microsoft page in here if someone more need to do same kind of change, is matter of just type the proper language code and edit a line in the keyboard data file name, it has all the information and in a very simple way, hope it has usefull for someone more.. Thks again by ur kind help smile.gif
