Hi!

I am experiencing an Andy Warhol nightmare when I play a video in windows media player's latest version. I am running an Atholon 64 bit processor and a Radeon X850 video card with 1k of memory. The video does not display the true colors, it displays bright pastel looking colors. Any help would be greatly appreciated! tongue.gif

Hi Robert, welcome to SAF

Sounds like some driver/codec issue... have you installed the latest videocard/monitor drivers ?
You may try to download and install latest DirectX from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/d...ads/default.htm

This may also happens if your chipset drivers are Windows standard instead of the proper ones. Check if you have the latest chipset drivers installed.

You may also try to play with your DVD setting (if it's installed on your computer). If it's an external one, you'll need to update videocard drivers and search on video utilities...

Also, very carefully check you card's settings; that card is the latest cutting edge from ATI (I am quite jealous!) and is capable of many different settings, so check them out carefully. You said your probs were video and (I assume) not DVD movies. If the DVD movies are okay but video in WMPlayer is bad, check your resolution/color bit settings playing in WMP.
