I am having problems with my Dell Inspiron 600m...

1. cannot download .NET framework
2. cannot download Windows updates, other Microsoft updates
3. everytime I click on certain links within Microsoft's web site, it says
"this page cannot be found", or something similar
4. video no longer plays on my computer (was able to watch Camtasia
screen capture video, but haven't been able to for a couple days now)

I don't have any idea what's going on. Will someone please help me?

First of all, have you tried a system restore to a point just before this happened ?

If this does not works for some reason, I suggest you download and run the latest versions of AdAwre SE and Spybot S&D (one at a time) and clean all you can.

After that, run a housecall online virus check.

Finally, post a HijackThis log here to see if your system is clean (see tutorial on how to do this below).
