If I have the firewall sygate pro enabled on 2 computers I get the above, I have the network settings enabled on both computers and it did work at least 1 month ago.
I like the sygate firewall but when I first installed it it needed a custom rule for windows update and for hotmail and now the lans being blocked thair.gif

Why would the sygate firewall start blocking lan traffic ? when it's set not to ?

EDIT: Well I couldn't fault the network settings as being the problem it came down to the firewalls.
I turned off the lan settings in the firewall and turned them back on and it seems to be fine now
wacko.gif Well all good now to check the other computer, just did the same to it and now I have it back up and running smile.gif I can ping the other pc and sharing files etc is working biggrin.gif before it wasn't.

I have the same problem, but in my case i don't have any active firewall in my LAN.
