First Hello!
I re install win98 and install everything the way it was but the sound system and the icon is not around. Before it was there and everything was ok! Can you help!?

You'll need to load the drivers for your;

motherboard chipset (if available)
display adapter
sound device
modem (if present)
NIC card (if present)

Everest Home Edition (Freeware) will tell you what hardware you have.

Hello, carmenlms. Welcome to the forum!

Most computers come with a disc that has the motherboard drivers on it. If your sound is built-in, then the drivers should be on this disc, as well as other drivers. Also, doing a Windows Update often will provide updated drivers for your system.

If you don't have the driver CD, post details about your computer such as the computer make & model if it's a brand name or motherboard make & model if it's a custom build. This way we can point you in the right direction to download the appropriate drivers biggrin.gif
