Sounds like a newspaper headline... I know....

Anyway, I have a small problem.... Earlier on today my fridge blew a fuse causing the whole power to the downstairs of my house to switch off, unfortunately my computer was switched on at this point and was just switched off by the power going.

I got the power back and turned the computer back on, however its running at less than half its normal speed since the accidental shut down.

I just wondered if there is any way of getting the computer to run how it used to before the fuse blow out.

Thanks for your time.

first thing thats easy is to "restore" back to the last point !!!

Have you done that??
coSTAR
nope, i haven't done that - i'm not sure how to.

goto start / programs / accessories / system tools / restore

the menu that comes up should be self explanatory......

gone for awhile....back later.

Thanks for that,

seems to have done the trick.
