I do not know what soundcard you have, but, according to the numbers, it's possibly a SoundBlaster PCI 64 or 128...
Try downloading and install the drivers from

biggrin.gif hi chris i installed pci 64 and tried that it didnt work im afraid and then tried pci128 and that didnt work either infact the computer had a little tantrum and wouldnt let me do anything. my brother put in drivers for tv card and that seemed to sort part of the problem, media player now plays ok but if you try to open something else up or put the visual effects on, the music starts to slow down and makes the same gurgling sound again smileyshot.gif

milly

ps hope you have a nice relaxing holiday while i sit a home struggling with computer biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Hi milly,
Thanks for the wishes smiley- yes.gif Will post some pics on Members Lounge biggrin.gif

In your BIOS settings, there is probably some way to set the AC97 onboard sound. Maybe this will solve part of the problem...

Ask your brother to take a look inside the computer, to try knowing what soundcard is installed... tell him to do this with the computer unplugged, as we do not want him to be "shocked" lol.gif

beanie2blue, I'm currently working on a system the same as yours! An easy way to stop the Gurgling noise is to do one of the following...

1) Click on Start, then Click on Run.
A small popup window will open,
Type WMPLAYER
Click on OK

Windows Media Player will now open,
Right Click the middle of the screen,
Select No Visualization.

Thats it!

2) Buy a half decent Video Card, ask around, see family or friends to see if they have a spare card they can give to you for free. Once you've fitted your new card, you can Re-enable the Visualizations.

Hope this helps.. keybrd.gif

Thanks nep1 I've got it set to that already but I'll ask around for a video card and see if that works and I'll post results.

Thanks for advice
