i bought a ATi 9600 pro 256Mb GFX card to replace my nVidia 5200. i connected it to the mobo rolleyes.gif went to start the PC and install the drivers and i noticed these strange purple lines goin down the screen sad.gif i hopefully thought they would go once i had installed the drivers but once the drivers were installed more problems came, once windows has loaded all i get is a black screen unsure.gif any help would be apprecieated ^^ thanks cboy.gif i just like this smilie it looks gud biggrin.gif

Hi Loki, welcome to SAF

Try removing and re-seating your new video card. Enter the BIOS settings and try changing the "AGP aperture size" to a lower size.

PS - When on BIOS settings, verify that your onboard video is disabled, as it will conflict with your video card.

There was alot of trouble with the 9600 when it first came out.Check to see if it is compatable with your motherboard.
