Hi everyone! wavey.gif

I have a problem with pop-ups that are coming back almost every 10 minutes.
They appears when i'm connected to the Internet, it doesn't matter if i'm surfing or not...

That makes me think they are coming from a program present on my computer like a trojan or something like that.

Can you help me to find them please?

Here's my log:

Bienvenue a SuggestAFix, Jul.

Your log is clean - no malware showing.

Can you tell us what the popups are. Maybe post a screen shot of them?

There' s a program called SilentRunners that looks deeper into the Windows registry for malware startups. Run that and save the log it generates to post here. Norton will probably alert you that VBS files are dangerous - this one is not, so allow Norton to let it run.

Hi HKed!

You can find a screen shot in the following post:

Hi jul...did you install Registry Cleaner32?

http://registrycleaner32.com/?hop=cleanreg

NeatReg.com resolves to that site. It looks like some very agressive spyware is included in the product, if you read the privacy policy and the EULA.

I don't see any sign of it in your HJT or SilentRunners logs. Is it listed in Add/Remove Programs?
jul

Hi HKEd smile.gif,

I didn't install any software like that, I didn't even know "registry cleaner32"...

I also receive pop-ups containing the following adress: http://www.registryerrors.com
Which lead to almost the same website as registrycleaner32.com...

Don't see anything in the add/remove programs list sad.gif

I could use a "anti-popup" sofware but I think it would be better if I removed the thing that make them appear...
Do you have any idea of what to do? (I'm sure you have wink.gif )

Thank you by advance

Hi Jul...is Windows Messenger Service disabled? If not, try disabling it as per the instructions here.

It doesn't look like Messenger Service, but I've searched Google using "Your windows registry is corrupted" as the search term, and turning off the service seemed to work.

Another suggestion was to install a free firewall like ZoneAlarm or Sygate.

Let us know how it goes.

Ok it's allright now!!

If you weren't so far, i would offer you a belgian beer cheers.gif
