Right now I'm holding onto a system restore as a last resort. I contacted D-Link and they said that some software (really implying a trojan) was on my system. They said my router would not assign me with an IP because the routers built-in firewall saw my PC as a security threat.
Earlier when I read some forums about people who had a similiar problem as me - some people said it could be caused by software/hardware interfering with the router. I'm currently running a
full system scan with McAffee VirusScan. It will take awhile, but hopefully I'll find the problematic file.
