Hi
Every time I open my hotmail using Internet Explorer I get the following error message showing on the task bar - a triangle with a yellow interrogation sign within - when I open the error message this is what I get:
Line: 6
Char: 1
Error: Object expected
Code:0
Why am I getting this error? Can anyone tell me what this mean and how to get rid of this?
I do not have this error showing when Hotmail is not in use.
I have tried searching microsoft help but I could not find anything on this error unless I am not looking in the right spot. Any suggestion where I can search?
Any help will be much appreciated.

Hi Souza,
This is a JavaScript related error.
You'll probably need to change your Java permissions one by one until you fix this issue.
Or, it may be a server error on Hotmail website, but I do not think so, and if it's the case, it will be fixed soon.

How do you change the Java Permissions?
Please remember, I am a novice in computer so perhaps you can direct me to a help page on how to perform this task.

Hi Souza,
Maybe some bug on "track this topic" feature.
Java permissions are on your internet browser options <internet Options/security tab/Internet/custom level/scripts>

Thank you for your prompt reply. I will give it a try and let you know in due course.
My mistake about tracking Post as I have now realised that last time I forgot to tick the box track this message.
