Hi Tassadarmaster,

When you have a problem, you must provide us as more details as possible.

Is it a dial-up or a broadband connection ?
Have you changed ISP recently ? (some may disconnect you when idle for some time)
Is there any unusual thing that happened with your system just before the problem starts ?
What OS are you using ?

Start/run and type regedit

- Select HKEY current user/remote access/
- Check if you have a "profile" subkey
- Check if there is some "disconnect idle time" value somewhere...
- If it's there, set the value to 0 (zero).

Always create a backup of your registry before making any changes on it.

- Disable Hibernation
Right click on your desktop, click screen saver tab, click on power button at the bottom of the display properties dialog, click the hibernate tab, and uncheck enable hibernation.

- Disable Windows Messenger
Go to start/run.
In the Run dialog box type gpedit.msc
Go to Computer Configuration/Administrative/Templates/Windows Components/Windows Messenger
Once there, right click Do not allow Windows messenger to run
Go to properties.
Check the box next to enable.

If you are using a USB modem, there is another hint to try.

Not necessary... it should be there, as it is on mine sad.gif

Will scout around again...

But you can try to find on registry, is there is some mention to "disconnect idle time" or "idle time", using the "find" tool on regedit.

Beware not to do any changes on the registry at this time.
