On my motherboard I noticed I have 2 power connectors. I have the standard oblong one and a small square one. Should both be connected or just the big oblong one?

I'm not good at the hardware part of computers. But I do know a thing or 2.

Can you give some more info. Are you building a computer, how did you discover it, and if you can start your computer and use all of your drives. Just because you have some loose powercords doesn't mean they're not extras.

Please post your motherboard make & model and list what you have plugged into it, like the CPU.

Do you have a manual for this MB?

I assume that you are basing on an ATX mainboard. Both of those should be plugged in or your unit may not boot. The small, four terminal plug is your ATX 12V plug for specialized apps.
