anybody know why a Vivo DVD player would be playing in Black and White ?

Its not a cable or connection problem........i dont think...

Hi grey,

Assuming that it's not a cable/connection issue, as you said, it may be a setup compatibility issue between your DVD and TV, if, for example, you try to transmit PAL or SECAM to NTSC or vice-versa, or if the media disk was burned in another format than supported by both, DVD and TV.

Also, your DVD or the TV adapter may be dying (I hope not) rolleyes.gif

Im going to try all the cables again...just to make sure...

can the yellow video cable from the DVD player be spliced to a coax cable so i can input to an older TV ??


or is there an adapter to buy cheap ?

i got yellow or red cables and coax cables...but no used VCR at the moment to use to test ...


or is the only way to go thru a VCR input and then out the coax output to the old TV ??
