I have 2 pc's that need to be networked to share broadband internet. I have a linksys wireless B router. I installed the router software on one computer and set up the wep encryption - so no one can leech off of me. Now I plug in the ethernet cable into the router, and connect another cable from port 1 to my main pc.

Now I have 2 questions:

1) the internet on the main pc would only work for about 5-10 minutes, then it doesn't work. If i plug in the ethernet cable directly to my pc, it would work fine. But the router seems to reject my pc if I hook it up to my router. What am i doing wrong?

2) how do I set up the second pc to access the wireless network? This 2nd pc has a wireless usb device.

I have googled for wireless internet sharing setup/tut but could not find a guide good enough to help me out. Any advice is appreciated.

thanks.

Your USB wireless device, make sure it is not using its own program to configure for wireless access. To be sure, go into services and enable wireless support, check in the wireless properties (let windows manage wireless access for me). This should solve the problem.
