Hello,

I have an avi file --- 960x528x25fps XviD AC3.2.0 that I try to convert/encode with TMPGEnc to SVCD format.
The problem is that it doesnt keep the 960x528 resolution and it ends up only being 480x576. This is the first time I am using TMPGEnc so I may be missing something but I really dont know how to changethe resolution back to 960x528.

Also, I noticed after converting to SVCD format (mpg file) that the sound is much lower then when you play the original avi file. I was hoping to keep this great sound quality. is it possible?!

Would appreciate the help!

Hi Tweety^,

Have you read the FAQs at TSUNAMI-MPEG Encoder website ? http://www.tmpgenc.net/e_main.html

Ok, I found out that by not using the wizard mode, it lets you change the resolution which works great with MPEG-1 format but when selecting MPEG-2 with the 960x524 size ofcourse and 4000kbps and click on 'start', it says: "this window size is not accepted by selected MPEG-2 level

Is there a solution to this?

I did read it but it doesnt say about PAL and my resolution

I've tried everything but looks like the highest it will allow for MPEG-2 is 720x560 :-(
