When I tried to update Windows, I received a message that said the updates could not be applied, and that my system was in an unstable state. It said I should go to add/remove programs, and uninstall Windows Service 2.
Is it safe to do this? Is it as easy as just clicking on uninstall? I don't want to ruin my system, but I do not want to be in a position where I cannot apply any more updates either.
Does anyone here have any recommendations? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi hmr516,
had this error too when update was not fully completed (aborted for some reason). Just restored to a point before and updated again.
You can have this too if, for some reason, you did not rebooted your system after some install/uninstall program was performed during the update process.
So, try to reboot to see what happens.
Hope it will help,
Chris

You might want to check or install a different set of video drivers......... and post what's in your event log.??

Thanks for the replies. How would I check if the video drivers are the correct ones? I have the system about a year, and I have never had a video problem. Also, how do I post an events log, and what is an events log? Thanks.
